Curriculum & Activities
The high school program at CPRS consists of grades 9th-12th. All students have an 8 period day, with block scheduling on Tuesdays (even hours) and Thursdays (odd hours). We find this scheduling allows for more opportunities in the classroom.
Depending on residency, Seniors at CPRS have the opportunity to participate in career focused programs at cooperating districts for the first three periods of their schedule. Students enrolled in these programs earn high school credit, as well as have the opportunity to earn college credit.
CPRS is an accredited A+ school. All high school students who qualify can earn scholarship monies to cover tuition and general fees at participating 2 year schools.
Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS) is the standardized testing we use for grades Kindergarten through 9th grade. 10th-11th grade participate in the Pre-ACT, & 11th-12th may sign up to take the ACT through a local testing site.
